Our Team
Toheed Fatima Ali
President, CEO and Founder
My name is Toheed Fatima Ali – or Fatima. I’m a medical student originally from Ontario, Canada. The one aspect that has always remained constant is my need to help people. I’ve always had this strong-willed desire to leave the world as a better place; when I was younger, I felt this task was impossible, as many things were not in my control. However, with age, I realized that it was not; this was why I started dedicating my life to medicine. Moreover, the idea of wanting to help as many people as possible was how the Purus Foundation came to be. This foundation is solely present to help future children establish a better life for themselves. We want to be able to provide whatever items someone needs to be able to succeed. Money should not be the reason why equal education is not achieved. Moreover, the societal importance of money should not be something kids should deal with during their young developing years. The prime years of childhood establish how we end up being throughout our lives, I’ve been lucky to have a fantastic childhood and development however several people fall short solely due to the expenses of this world. Together, my colleagues and I have aimed to help sets of places that we think we could help. All children deserve equality at the bare minimum when it comes to education. Our goal is to try to make that as possible as we can by whatever means.

With a fervent commitment to addressing global health disparities, I am currently pursuing my medical degree while championing health equity initiatives. In an era marked by the challenges of globalization, I am deeply dedicated to leveraging my expertise in Global Health Systems alongside my background in biological and psychological health to serve as a beacon of change. My aspiration is to be a Global Health Leader, collaborating with both public and private entities to dismantle the barriers of poverty that hinder access to healthcare. I firmly believe that tackling intricate health issues demands an interdisciplinary approach, rooted in holistic solutions. Through advocacy for healthy public policies, fostering supportive communities, and enhancing health literacy, I strive to cultivate environments of wellness worldwide. Joining forces with Purus, I am poised to make meaningful strides in ensuring every child has equitable access to health, education, and safety, regardless of their circumstances.
